Dr. Diskin Morgan, Sr. was born and reared in Douglas the son of Perry and Alma Morgan. He graduated from Douglas High School in 1946.  After attending South Georgia College , he majored in Chemistry at the University of Georgia. His calling into the medical field took him to The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. In 1954, while at the Macon Hospital during his residency, he fell for a beautiful lab technician named Dorothy Phares.  Within six weeks she became his wife, they soon started their family. They were blessed with two sons, Gil and Guy and one daughter, Lynn.

For two years he served in the United States Army as a medical doctor.

Dr. Morgan was blessed with good health and a sound mind to practice medicine until his 80th year. He was very active in the Christian community singing in the choir, quartets, and solos.

After the death of his first wife, Dottie, he was blessed to share his remaining years with his wife, Lounell Burton Morgan.

His children and family were so blessed to have this extraordinary man for so many years. We will cherish the years and precious memories.
