Dr. Craig Jude Morris, December 3, 1970 – September 2, 2013.

Beloved husband, father, brother, son and uncle. Dr. Craig J. Morris passed away this Labor Day, September 2, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Baldwin Morris, sons, Craig Robert, Mark Laith, Rowdy Tegan and sister Kimberly Yates. Craig was born in San Antonio, Texas to Barbara Ann (Flores) Castillo and Benito C. Castillo, Jr. After his mother’s remarriage he took the name of his stepfather, Col Robert E. Morris. Craig attended St. Anthony High School Seminary graduating second in his class.

He briefly attended the US Military Academy at West Point before graduating from Texas A&M University, Class of ’94. Following his life long dream to become a “country doc”, he attended Texas A&M University Medical School and began his career as a family physician. Craig was a member of Boy Scout Troop 157, Windcrest, Texas achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was affectionately known as “Speedy” for how quickly he achieved his merit badges. He was also a vounteer EMT/Paramedic with the Windcrest Volunteer Fire Department as a teenager.

Craig was also an athlete playing both baseball and football. Craig’s greatest achievement and joy, however, was his three sons of whom he was immensely proud. Craig will be missed for his wicked sense of humor, self-deprecation, incredible dedication to his patients, and, of course, his love for anything Star Trek.
