Born in a small part of South Alabama on June 28, 1979, Dr. Christopher Jerrod Lewis began his journey. No matter the mountains he climbed, his soul was steadfastly anchored in Wing, Alabama. And as all who knew him can attest, he was ever the Southern gentleman.
Dr. Lewis, more lovingly referred to as Rod, approached life with his stubborn charm and immeasurable generosity. He was the sundial that dared the sun to move his shadow and the dragon fighter that fought for the sheer joy of the fight.
Most recently, Rod founded his own company, Hexad Analytics, which provides statistical research projects nationwide. He excelled in this field, and both colleagues and clients soon realized that the word impressive paled in comparison to Rod.
Wherever he placed himself, Rod always rose to the top. He was an accomplished public speaker, speaking to audiences from his small town to the nation’s capital. He received many awards and honors throughout his career, one of which was his selection to The Rising Stars, the small and prestigious group of up and coming business leaders.
Even with acclaimed successes, Rod remained the Southern gentleman with modesty, integrity, and generosity. Countless times he quietly cared for those around him whether financially or physically. He never wanted any recognition for his generosity and will always be dearly remembered by so many for that attribute.
As Rod left this earth on February 26, 2017, he left in perfect character with dignity and the last word. The old saying is remarkably true for this dear heart. When God made Christopher Jerrod Lewis, He took a hammer and promptly broke the mold into a million pieces because this world could not contain that much brilliance in one lifetime.
