Doyne Lowder, 78, of McCordsville, passed away on February 13, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born May 2, 1935 in Mohawk, IN to the late Norman Brennan and Opal (Pearl) Lowder. Doyne was a 1953 graduate of the old Mt. Comfort High School, a member of the Belgian Draft Horse Association and a lifelong Hancock County farmer.
He is survived by wife Loueen (Rush) Lowder whom he married on January 16, 1954, children: Linda (David) Garrity of Greenfield, Jerry (Erin) Lowder of McCordsville and Shelley (Randy) Spencer of Greenfield; grandchildren: Andy (Kristine) Garrity, Ryan Garrity, Stacy (Billy) Muffler, Justin Lowder, Stephanie Spencer, Melissa Spencer and 9 great-grandchildren: Cole, Makinze, Rylee, Bristol and Reece Garrity, Haley and Drew Lowder, Emma and Kegen Muffler.
The family would like to thank his caregiver Shannon and Hancock Regional Hospice.
