Doyle Simmons

Doyle Simmons, 85, of Heber Springs passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children. He was an honest, loving, and caring person that always looked out for his fellow man. Doyle was a wonderful husband and father. His passions included music and gardening. It was his passion for music that led to build over forty fiddles, five guitars, and several other instruments. Doyle was rarely seen without his ball cap. The professional career that Doyle had was as a mechanic. Doyle was of the Baptist faith and attended Friendship Freewill Baptist Church in Hopewell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Carrie Simmons; sister, Charlsie Wheatley; and brother, Rufus Elmer Simmons.
Doyle is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Revalene Simmons; three children: Johnny Simmons, Steven (Kelley) Simmons; and Brenda (Joey) Cox; three sisters: Floy Elliot, Blanche Stogsdill, and Annie Jewel Brooks; six grandchildren; three great-grandchilren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
