King – Doyle Jeffries Pike 48, of King, NC, left this earth, just as he lived.  Stubbornly, with strength, grace, dignity, without complaint and a heart that wholly believed in God above.

This man was stubborn, stood strong in his opinion, and a sense of humor at every level…along with the most loving and loyal heart.

A #1 fan of N.C. State, The Lakers; but admittedly not the same after the “Black Mamba” retired; L.A. Dodgers and the Redskins but was still salty after what we call the “R2 incident”.

A truck driver by trade, always said he hated it, but took pride in knowing he was good at it and it took care of his family, but often was in trouble for exceeding the speed limit.

Doyle was the first to say he was raised well during his youth, being born to Jesse Pike and Gayle Shelton who is deceased.  He had the added love of his grandparents James Clyde Pike and Minnie Pike both of whom are deceased.  From his family is where he received his first great love of watching t.v., and food.  Along with so many examples of Jesus, from his Grandma.  He always called himself “blessed” to have received his education from Alamance Christian School, which instilled in him his love of God, family, and country.

He leaves behind a family that has been fully loved, his dad, Jesse Pike of Graham, NC, wife, Renee Pike of King, NC, his son whom he’s so proud of, Dylan Pike of King, NC, a daughter he calls his little flower, Casey(Chris) Hawks of Stuart, VA, three grandchildren that he adored, but all knows he favored a certain one, Ethan, Emily, and Haley. Many friends and special family, Laurie and Morgan Auman, Bobby Bridges, Chris Hursey and the entire Hursey family, Kim and Patti Jones, Phillip Halpin, Allen and Rebecca Irvin, and Scotty Lloyd. Lastly his pets, Snowball and Miss Kitty, and Booger the meanest ten pounds of dog that he loved so much, passed only hours after Doyle.

Mr.
