Doyle Jack Lloyd passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 12, 2018.

Doyle was born October 21, 1931 in Riverton, Utah to Walter Graham Lloyd and Madeline Cescutti Lloyd. When he was 2 years old his family moved to Alton Idaho where they bought a ranch. This became home to him for his growing up years. Life was not easy for Doyle and his family. They worked hard to keep their ranch going. When he was 10 years old his father passed away leaving added responsibility on this young family. Doyle and his brother Bud worked hard to keep that ranch going. He attended school in Alton until the 8th grade. At this time he was needed to help at home full time. Ranching and farming became his life.

When he was 19 he met a cute girl from Georgetown. This quickly turned into what would be a match made in heaven. Doyle married Fern Johnson on October 25, 1951 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. To this union came Jim, Lynn, Jolene, Annette and Dwight.

They continued to work hard on the ranch until 1957 when a small farm in Dingle Idaho came up for sale. Dingle became home. To make ends meet he worked for various companies throughout the valley. He settled into a job working for the Bear Lake County Road and Bridge. 25 Years Later he retired and his farm became his full time job which was really what he loved the most.

His work ethic was like none other. He worked hard right up until August 2017 when his health no longer permitted it. This was probably one of the hardest trials of his life, not being able to go out and work.

Doyle is survived by his wife Fern, his children Jim (Wendy) Lloyd, Lynn (Darla) Lloyd, Jolene (Victor) Gates, Annette (David) Barnson, Dwight (Kelly) Lloyd, Sister Dixie (Harvey) Pulley and Sister-in-law Faye Kunz. 17 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bud Lloyd, Sisters Ora Zumbrennen, Wanda Lloyd, Verla Prohaska, Son-in-law David Barnson and grandchildren Jenny Barnson and Andy Barnson.
