Doyle J. Hodge
Doyle J. Hodge, 86, of Caldwell, went to meet the Lord on January 4, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Doyle was oldest of 9 children, born September 12, 1923 to Fred and Alta Hodge at Ava, Missouri. He moved with his family to Wilder, Idaho in 1940.. He joined the U.S. Army in December of 1943 and honorably discharged February 15, 1946. Doyle married Wilma D. Wilson in 1946 had 2 sons, Mike and Gary, of whom he was very proud.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Wilma Lee Hodge of Caldwell; 2 sons, Mike (Marie) Hodge of Eagle and Gary Hodge of Cascade; also,Wilma Lee’s children Lynett Vinson (David) of Prarie Grove, AR, Steven (Patricia) Pannell of Natural Dam, AR and Deborah (Don) Cline of Caldwell; Siblings, Ernie (LeeNora) Hodge of Fruitland, Shirley Blood of Caldwell, Pat (Cliff) Looney of Vale, OR; the mother of his children, Wilma D. of Boise; 31 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Delbert, Fred Jr., Bill and Bob; and 1 sister, Wanda.
