Douglas Walter Yoast, 83, passed of natural causes March 14, 2022, at Golden Years Senior Assisted Living. He was born in Nampa, Idaho, September 15,1937, the son of Walter W. and Fern M. Yoast.
Doug received his Certificate of Education from the State of Oregon. He served with the U.S. Navy Seabees from January 12,1955 until he was Honorably Discharged January 11, 1963. He was deployed to the Pacific and Alaska.
He later married Jeannine Magers and lived in Nampa, Idaho. They celebrated 17 years of marriage.
Doug made a career driving 25+ years for Consolidated Freight, earning awards for 2 million mile plus with no accidents. Doug along with his brother Ron, and brother in law, Dennis Pascoe enjoyed fishing the many lakes Idaho has to offer. Doug was an avid outdoors man, using his many metal detection locators to hunt and search for lost items all over the country. Boating and road trips was a past time he enjoyed as well.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Ron Yoast of Nampa, Idaho.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jeannine (Pascoe, Magers) Yoast, his sister in law, Sharon Yoast of Nampa, his children, Teresa, Tammy, Justin, Skip,Stepchildren William “Bill” L. Magers, Carol Lynn Magers Schakelford, along with nephews, nieces, grandchildren.
