Douglas Stougard, age 54, of Algona, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his home.
Douglas Lee Stougard, the son of Donald and Ellamae (Topliff) Stougard, was born on December 1, 1957 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1976. Douglas married Connie Jensen on February 11, 1984 in Humboldt, Iowa, they were later divorced. On March 6, 1993 Douglas was united in marriage with Theresa Peck in Storm Lake, Iowa. Douglas enjoyed fishing, races, watching football and wrestling and picking on his friends and family.
Left to cherish Douglas’s memory is his wife of 19 years, Theresa; a son, Steven Stougard of Carroll; three step daughters, Nicole Peck and her significant other Ben Henrich of Algona, Amanda Peck of Sanborn and Savannah Peck of Council Bluffs; one grandchild on the way; seven step grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Stougard and his wife Sharon of Algona and John Stougard of Gilmore City; and a sister, Carol Fredericks and her husband John of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James; and two sisters, Delores Stone and an infant sister.
