Douglas Richard Hunt was born on March 30, 1921 in Creston, Iowa, to Francis E. Hunt and Lois H. Bason.
Doug’s parents and stepmother, Velma, older sister Ferne Corning and her husband Irvin and their son Vern, sister Carol, and brother Guy predeceased him. He is survived by his brother Jack (Sylvia) who have cared for him through his gradual dementia the past 7 years and Jean (Bill, deceased) Dorau in Boise. Other siblings live in Washington: Bill (Emma Jean) in Ellensburg, and Faye (Lloyd) Lozensky in Kent, and Maxine (Guy) Hunt in Snohomish.
The large family with many nieces and nephews was an important part of Doug’s life.
The family appreciates the special care from Treasure Valley Hospice and caregiver Maria Curiel during the past eight months.
