Douglas Scheppelman II of Seattle, Washington, formerly of Cassopolis, Michigan, passed away on January 1, 2017.
He was born on January 15, 1984, to Douglas and Judy (Foster) Scheppelman.
Douglas had a passion for horticulture and gardening, had a photographic eye, and was an avid reader. He had a witty sense of humor and a compassionate heart for those around him. Douglas loved nature and had a gentle way of tuning in and attracting wildlife when he was in the woods. He also had an immense love for dogs – his own and others’ – and was preceded in death in 2015 by his dog and faithful companion, Dehy.
Douglas is survived by his parents, Douglas and Judy (Foster) Scheppelman; his grandparents, Paul and Marie Scheppelman; one sister, Sarah (Alex) Ignatenko; a nephew, Logan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
