Douglas Joy Whitehead Brown passed away on 10/28/2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend John Lamar Brown,
Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Robin, and Tim Gonda of Baton Rouge LA; Rebecca Brown of Fort Walton Beach; Debra and Larry Fowler of Fort Walton Beach, and John and Jennifer Brown of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Todd Gonda (and Alicia) of French Settlement, Louisiana; Nicole Fowler of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Natalie Fowler of Sydney, Australia; Hannah Brown (and fiancé Zach Odom) of Tampa, Florida; and Max Brown of Brooklyn, NY.
She has two surviving sisters, Carrie Cupit (Donny) of Woodville, Mississippi, and Cynthia Sheppard (David) of Laurel MS. A host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Sample Douglas and Annie Whitehead of Woodville, MS.
