Douglas John Malachowski Age 71 of Owosso passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his home.Douglas was the son of John A. and Elma (Edick) Malachowski born in Owosso on July 12, married Charlene Ann Haines in Owosso on October 24, 1994; she predeceased him on April 10, was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He loved dogs but was especially fond of his dog, Goliath. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Doug was a true Spartan fan that enjoyed watchng football and basketball games while cheering them on to victory. He worked at Motor Products in Owosso.Douglas proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 until his Honorable Discharge in 1974.Douglas is survived by his step-daughter Karen (Dean) Partain, step-son Donny Lovering; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings Dan (Shelley) Edick, Mike Edick, Christine (Keith) Keyes and Trudy (Tracy) Edick; several nieces and was predeceased by his parents; wife, Charlene; two brothers and one sister.
