Cocoa Fl – Doug Lemmon, 61, from Port St. John and a lifetime resident of Brevard County was received by our Lord and Savior on April 2nd, 2019. Doug was a graduate of Merritt Island High School class of 1976. He also held a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.
Doug was a loving son and brother who loved sports both as a participant and as a fan. He was an ardent fan of Florida State University where he attended many football games. Doug worked for the State of Florida DCF as a case worker and ultimately as an instructor.
Doug is survived by his mother, Betty Lemmon, his brother, Gary Lemmon (Annette Lemmon), a sister, Darlene King (Ed King) as well as many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife JoAnn Hudson and his father, Gene Lemmon.
