Douglas grew up in Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1992. After high school, he attended Becker College in Leicester, where he received an Associate Degree.
Douglas had a passion for sports. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He played golf in a league at Leicester Country Club.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Nina Valera of Boylston; his daughters, Kylie Barents of Northbridge, and Julia Barents of E. Brookfield; his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Steven Picard of Upton; his girlfriend, Melissa Corbett and her daughter Madison Corbett of W. Brookfield; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and the very best of friends.
