Douglas Eugene Penrod, 54, passed away on September 8th, 2014 at St. Vincent’s Hospital after an extended illness. Doug was born January 7, 1960, in Anderson to Loran and Patsy (Cheever) Penrod.
He graduated from Anderson High School in 1978 and was employed by Best Way Disposal. Doug enjoyed being with their family and racing his RC cars.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Debra (Elliott) Penrod; his sons, Taylor (at home), Phillip, and James, both of Anderson; step-son, Brandon Allen; grandsons, Tyler, Seth, and Ethan; father, Loran Penrod; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Bethann Penrod of Wexford, PA; father and mother-in-law, Doris and Frank Elliott; brother-in-law, Jeff (Rebecca) Elliott; sisters-in-law, Patti and Cathy Elliott, all of Anderson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his work family from Best Way Disposal.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Penrod.
