Douglas Bailey Hookham, age 91, of Elburn, passed away Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 10th, 1929, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, the son of John and Belle Hookham. He was stationed in Germany after serving in the Army during the Korean War.
Douglas worked for many years with dedication to his profession as a plaster craftsman, working on many historic residences in the Fox Valley area. He was a faithful member of St.
He is survived by his wife of sixty four years Carol Hoffman; children Jill (Dennis) Ryan of Wingo, Kentucky, Christine (Daniel) Gierke of Elburn, Timothy (Barb) of Elburn, and Mitch (Kathleen) of Paducah, Kentucky; grandchildren Ryan (Amanda) Gierke, Lindsay (Alex) Giardino, Cole, Shane, Jay, Karmyn, and Trevor Hookham, and Miranda and Declan Ryan; great granddaughter Faith Gierke; and many other dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
