Doug C. Lambert age 73, of Centralia, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Doug was born January 24, 1943 in McLeansboro, IL the son of James C. Lambert and Betty Jane (Crabtree) Lambert. He married Judy Hart on July 4, 1964 in McLeansboro, IL and she survives him in Centralia.
In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by one son: Doug Lambert II of Centralia; one daughter Julie Atalla and Tim of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren: Abbi Lambert of Centralia, Chloe and Levi Atalla of Springfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his father James C. Lambert and mother Betty Jane Lambert.
Doug was a member of the Central City Baptist Church where he held many positions. He worked at Centralia High School for thirty-two years as a vocational teacher. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. He loved to travel, especially to Florida. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
