Dottie June Long, 71, of Shinnston passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at United Hospital Center.
She was born October 28, 1945 in Shinnston, WV; daughter of the late Offie and Nellie Bunnell Heater.
Dottie is survived by her husband, Frank Benjamin Long of Shinnston; five sons, Ben and Becky Long of Lumberport, Nathan Long of Mt. Olive, Wan and Tricha Long of Rivesville, Eric Long of New Martinsville, Myron and Mary Long of Clarksburg; one daughter, Lolita and David Belt of Elizabeth; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one stepson, George and Juanita Kockler of Fairmont; one stepdaughter, Debra Downing Kockler of Ohio; four sisters, Geneva Lemasters of Shinnston, Rosemary Arbogast of Stonewood, Patty and Richard Layfield of Lamberts Run, Juanita and Marvin DeBerry of Meadowbrook; two brothers, Offie “Ruck” and Jacque Heater of Lumberport, Roy Heater of Shinnston. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Heater, Linda Riley; two brothers, Roger and Russell Heater.
Dottie loved to cook, organize and act in plays, and enjoyed sewing. She was a Sunday school teacher; a beautiful mother and cared for everyone.
