Dot Neill Golden
September 26, 1955 – March 17, 2019
Dot Neill Golden of Leola, AR was born September 26, 1955 in Malvern, AR. She was a long-time member of the Leola United Methodist Church. She loved her family, her friends, her pets, but most of all, she loved her God. Since August of 2017, she worked in the accounting for RoofConnect of Sheridan. Prior to that, she worked as office manager at C&S Lumber and Idaho Timber in Carthage for 38 years. Dot passed away in her home surrounded by her family on the evening of Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the age of 63. As the sun set on a life well lived, she awoke to an eternal home with her Father where she will live in a light that will never set and never dim.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bettye Jean Baker Byrd, Cletus Byrd, Winston Neill, and half- sister Tommy Neill Douglas Nix. Survivors include husband, Mike Golden of the home; daughter, Alana (Brent) Williams of Sheridan; son, Eric (Melanie) Harrison of Sheridan; stepdaughter, Bevin Lockeby of Lowell; sisters, Debbie (Mike) Kilcrease of Poyen and Brenda (Jerry) Emberton of Hollister, MO; half-brother, Winston (Christie) Neill of Van Buren; grandchildren, Anna Williams, Brayden Williams, Kelsey Harrison, Caleb Harrison, and Kady Harrison, all of Sheridan; in-laws, Bobby and Maurice Golden of Kirby; best friend of almost 50 years, Teresa Goff as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers: Mayetta Holland, Teresa Goff, and Debbie Kilcrease. The care you have given is a true example of Christian love. We would also like to thank the staff of Arkansas Hospice.
