Dorthy Mae (Kutz) McKay of Boise, Idaho, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 20, 2019. Dorthy was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on June 26, 1932, the first daughter of Roy and Ruby Kutz. At age 10, Dorthy moved from Oklahoma to Boise with her parents and sister and lived on an acreage off of State Street. Dorthy attended Pierce Park Elementary, North Jr. High and graduated from Boise High School. Dorthy married the love of her life, Lloyd McKay in Boise on October 15, 1950. Lloyd and Dorthy became the parents of 5 children. They always lived on an acreage where the family enjoyed horse riding together, with their cousins and friends. Lloyd and Dorthy moved to New Meadows, Idaho in 1959. While there, Dorthy was introduced to the card game of bridge. She loved this game and spent many hours playing with her dear friends until last year. They returned to Boise in 1963 to work in the family-owned business, McKay Construction Company. Dorthy worked in real estate for many years and then enjoyed 30 years managing the office for Amyx Signature Homes, retiring at the age of 80.
Dorthy was preceeded in death by her husband, Lloyd McKay, her parents Roy and Ruby Kutz, and her sister, Mary Ann Venable. Dorthy is survived by her children, Jacki McKlveen (Bill), Mike McKay (Becky), Chris Lemke (Dick), Jody Deasy (Mike), Vicky Lynch (Marty) and 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
