Mrs. Dorothy Welch Cobb, 81, a resident of Eclectic, AL passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Tallassee Health and Rehab in Tallassee.
Survivors include her husband of almost 60 years, Thomas Elijah Cobb; sons, Andrew Jay (Sandra) Cobb & Paul Lee (Lynn) Cobb; grandchildren, Heather (Andrew) Johnson, Tressie (Jonathan) Norrell, Olivia Cobb, Caitlyn Cobb, Laura Elizabeth Cobb, Anna Isabelle Cobb, Lydia Campbell (Byron) Medley, Thomas Elijah Cobb, a number of great-grandchildren, and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, M. T. & Maybelle Welch.
She was baptized at an early age into the Baptist Faith. Dorothy loved to work with her hands doing crafts, painting, and quilting. She was the President of the Withlacoochee Quilter Guild from 1995-96 in Valdosta, GA. She established a quilting class in Eclectic for seniors, and was a member of the Eclectic First Baptist Church. Dorothy was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
