Dorothy Virginia Gross Hannon, 91, Anderson, passed away April 14, 2012 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness.
She was born June 15, 1920 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of her life. Dorothy was a homemaker and had previously been a hairdresser. She was founder and former president of Sweet Adelines.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Thomas E. Lewis of South Bend, Patti Metcalf-Hall and Vanessa Bruce Helming; eight grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Edward Hannon who passed away October 28, 1999; parents, Henry & Mary Sheets Gross; and brother, Thomas Gross.
