Dorothy Sue Kirk passed peacefully at home on March 3rd, 2010 losing her battle with cancer at the age of 60. Cared for by her loving sister Joan in the final months, she fought valiantly to the end. Born in 1949 in Weiser, she was raised by a hard working father with her five siblings in Huntington. A proud graduate of Huntington High School she set out to enjoy life in Utah and Southern Idaho in the early 70’s. Shortly thereafter she met Grant Earl Kirk and they married in September 1973 settling in Oklahoma where they had two sons. In 1979 they welcomed their third child and first daughter while living in Colorado. With their three children in tow-Elliot, Jeff and Summer-they returned to Idaho to build their life together. Dorothy was a doting mother and with Grant they built a strong family that has always remained close. A tireless worker and mother she seemingly never rested as she built her family on love, trust and happiness. The legacy of her life’s work lives on in her three surviving children and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years and her father, whom she looked up to until his final days.
