Dorothy (Dot) M. Lanier, 86, of Statesboro, GA passed away March 8, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Before she retired, her working career was spent with Statesboro Telephone Company where she was a faithful employee for many years. Ever the animal lover, Dot raised both toy and miniature poodles.
Dot is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lanier; a daughter, Kathy L. Davis; and a sister, Aline Sowell.
She is greatly loved and will be missed by her son, Randy M. Lanier (Donna), four grandchildren, Cora Barrs (Steven), Lenora Starling (Chris), Jincey D. Botwinski (Lawrence), and Mitchell Davis (Mindy); seven great grandchildren, Landon Barrs, John Barrs, Camden Starling, Tripp Botwinski, Maddux Davis, Madelyn Davis and Maevery Davis; a sister, Cleo Hodges Lanier; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Heritage Inn Health and Rehabilitation, especially the nurses who took such good care of Mrs. Lanier.
