Dorothy J. Skradski, age 74, of 1113 Sheridan Road, Escanaba, died peacefully Thursday, August 9, 2007, at the Bishop Noa Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born July 15, 1933, in Escanaba, the daughter of Alex and Hilma (Buckland) Derouin. She was raised in Cornell and was a 1951 graduate of the Escanaba Senior High School. On May 2, 1953, Dorothy was joined in marriage to Emil “Emery” Skradski, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Escanaba. She lived most of her life in Escanaba and together, Dorothy and Emery made their home and raised their family on the North side of Escanaba, commonly known as Northtown. Throughout her life, Dorothy worked primarily as a homemaker and in earlier years for Gust Asp and Viau
