Dorothy Sheehan Fogarty, 93
North Greenbush – Dorothy Sheehan Fogarty, 93, formerly of Sheridan Avenue Troy died Wednesday, January 07, 2009, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late John J. Sheehan and Margaret Rowley Sheehan and wife of the late Daniel J. Fogarty Sr.. She had resided in the Troy area all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School.
Mrs. Fogarty was employed as a laboratory technician at Albany Felt in Menands for 26 years retiring in 1976.
She was a member of Colonie Lodge of Elks Auxiliary and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Troy.
Survivors include her children, Daniel J. (Joan) Fogarty Jr., Malta and Joan F. (Robert) Ives, Petersburgh; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, John W., Robert J. Sr. and William M. Sheehan.
