Dorothy Schwark, 91, of Michigan City, Indiana and formerly of Three Oaks, Michigan died December 29, 2009. Dorothy was born in Michigan City, one of ten children born to Joseph and Sophia (Zientara) Knoila. She grew up in Michigan City and came to Three Oaks often to assist at the family grocery stores. She married Bernard Schwark on Ocotober 12, 1937 in Three Oaks.
Bernard and Dorothy owned Schwarks Tavern and Restaurant in Three Oaks for many years, retiring in 1976. Bernard preceded her in death on November 6, 1995. Dorothy enjoyed playing BINGO and watching sports on T.V. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Three Oaks. Survivors include her son, James Schwark, Michigan City; grandsons, Robb Schwark of Michigan City and James Scott Schwark of Valparaiso, Indiana, great grandsons Aaron and Grifin.
