Dorothy R. (Viten) Frazer, 96, of Cromwell, wife of the late Arthur H. Frazer, Jr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2nd. She was born in Southington, lived most of her life in Cromwell and was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence (Cornall) Viten. She graduated from the Connecticut State Hospital School of Nursing and retired as Assistant Director of Nursing at Connecticut Valley Hospital. She was an avid fan of the Uconn men and women’s basketball teams, enjoyed going fishing in North Carolina and loved playing cards at the Cromwell Senior Center with all her friends. Dorothy is survived by her beloved sons, James Frazer of Cromwell and Robert Frazer of Old Saybrook; three grandchildren, Denise Uccello of Rocky Hill, Jesse Frazer of Cromwell and Sean Frazer of Deep River; four great grandchildren, Christian, Justin, Jesse, Jr., and Aedan and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy’s family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to the caring staff on 2-East Wing of the Cromwell Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
