Dorothy Ruth Drouin
Norwich – Dorothy Ruth Drouin, 85, of Plain Hill Road passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in the comfort of her family Tuesday July 18, 2017.
She was born June 18, 1932 in Norwich the daughter of Joseph and Susan (Lappie) Thomas.
Dorothy was a homemaker and dedicated nurse at W.W. Backus Hospital. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling the U.S., England and Scotland. She was an avid UConn Woman’s Basketball fan, artist and children’s book writer.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman Drouin.
Dorothy is survived by three children Bryon Thompson, Robert Thompson, Catherine Candelaria, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
