Dorothy L. Riley, 80, of Cassopolis, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac. She was born March 16, 1931 in Owosso, Michigan to John and Dora (Preston) Hughes, Jr. She married Edward Riley on September 2, 1950 in Owosso, Michigan.
He preceded her in death on December 31, 2005.Dorothy and her husband, Ed, enjoyed traveling, especially visiting and photographing lighthouses, and even climbing to the top of them when they were allowed.She was a member of the Auxiliary of the William E. Lozier V.F.W. Post #10704, Cassopolis, Cass County Council on Aging, the United Presbyterian Church of Cassopolis, and several knitting groups.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Connie (Ron) Young of Granger, Indiana, and Lynn (Tim) Koeppe of Muskegon, Michigan; two sons, Richard (Ruth) Riley of Elmira, Michigan and Edward Riley, of Hamilton, Michigan; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and one brother Robert (Nancy) Hughes, Grand Marais, Michigan.
