Dorothy O. Mayle, age 85, of Grafton, formerly Canton, OH, passed at the home of her granddaughter, Donna Boyce. She was surrounded by her family when she went to spend her eternal life in the house of the Lord, Saturday, March 10, 2012. She was born June 20, 1926, in Zanesville, OH, a daughter of the late Fred and Addie (Davis) Worden. Her husband of 69 years, William Nathan Mayle Sr., survives. They were married June 23, 1942, and she has since been known to him as “Babe”, and he was known to her as “Hun”.
Also surviving are three children, William N. Mayle, Jr. and wife Peggy, Minerva, OH; Linda L. Maley and husband Pastor David, West Hill; Mary E. Nicholas, Canton, OH; 8 grandchildren, William Mayle, III and wife Cheryl, Teresa R. Dolan and husband Bill, Anita K. Harvey and husband Randy, Barbara E. Kaufman and husband David, Jimmy L. Maley and wife Jennifer, Donna Boyce, Celeste M. Nicholas, Jessica Russo; seventeen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and her special friend and “guardian angel” Kevin Lake.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Taylor County and her caretakers Heather Cain and Stephanie Hott
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, four brothers, a sibling in infancy; one grandchild, and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Mayle enjoyed reading, going to church, sending and receiving cards at Christmas, shopping, and traveling.
