Dorothy Miller, 86, of rural Virginia, IL died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
She was born March 10, 1922 in Springfield; the daughter of David and Ruth Maurer Kruse. She married Glenn E. Miller on June 11, 1940 in Bowling Green, MO and he preceded in death on September 29, 1981.
She is survived by three sons, Vernon Miller (wife, Jolene) of Virginia, David Miller (wife, Pam) of Virginia, and Charles Miller of Beardstown; three daughters, Freda Miller of Springfield, Gladys Miller of Virginia, and Marilyn Miller of Virginia; 9 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 16 step great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and 3 step great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Miller was a 1940 graduate of Virginia High School and assisted her husband with their farming operation. She attended the First Baptist Church of Virginia.
