Dorothy Mary Kreit, age 92, of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully on Sunday evening, March 7, 2010 at her home.
Born January 13, 1918 in Baltimore County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Sparr) Tine. She was predeceased by her husband, George Andrew Kreit on October 7, 1992.
Dorothy was a life long dairy farmer along with her loving husband and family in the Taneytown area. She was a hardworking homemaker and loved her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Mary M. Bowers and husband Jack of Taneytown, George J. Kreit and former spouse, Suzanne Kreit and fiancée Elaine L. Cassidy all of Taneytown; John V. Kreit and fiancée Rolanda “Ro” Morningstar of Taneytown, Dennis J. Kreit and wife Donna of Mulberry, Florida, and Joseph P. Kreit and wife Helen V. of Taneytown; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy Kreit of White Marsh; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers, grandsons, Jeffrey and Jimmy, and by a great-grandson, Wesley.
