On May 4, 2016, surrounded by family with George Straight playing in the background, Dorothy peacefully made her final journey home. She was born on October, 7 1931 to Jacob and Era Mae Baxter in Robstown Texas.Dorothy is preceded in death by her late husband A.K “Bud” Peel Jr., parents Jacob and Era Mae Baxter and her grandsons Charles “Chuck” Tate and Mason Alexander Price. She is survived by her sister Mary Brown of Bishop Texas, Sister in laws Billie Bergmann of Boerne and Pearle George of Allen. Along with her 4 children, Shirley Hyde, husband Jerry, Debbie Briody, A.K. “Bubba” Peel III, wife Peggy, Sidney Allen Peel and daughter in law Penny Peel. Dorothy has 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dorothy loved being a resident of Boerne and working at Riverside Market for close to 40 years. She loved her morning coffee crew, gambling, traveling with friends and she was well known for her pig collection and her love of George Straight. There wasn’t anybody that knew her that she didn’t impact with her warm inviting smile. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank Cibolo Creek and Alamo Hospice for the care they provided.
