Dorothy M. Oram, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Live Well in Plantsville. She was born October 2, 1926 in Ellis, KS to Russell and Ruth (Herbert) Schoenberger and lived there for her early childhood. She was predeceased by her parents and by her step-father, Andrew L. Mumaw. She was married August 31, 1947 at Parsons, KS to James E. Oram who predeceased her March 13, 2016. She is also survived by three beloved daughters, Susan L. Oram and her husband Arthur Krzyzewski of Chandler, AZ; Cynthia O. Lewis of Berlin and Elizabeth O. Caswell of Berlin. Predeceased by her granddaughter Skyler K. Caswell, she is survived by eight grandchildren, Megan L. Sellers and Lewis Lane, Nathan J. Sellers and his wife Alexis, Erin Kvist and Kevin Sellers and his wife Nicole all of Arizona; Brett Lewis and Meghan Brennan, Hilary M. Oziomek and her husband Mike, Courtney L. Bragg and her husband Mike and Jayce Caswell all of Berlin; eleven great-grandchildren, Cameryn and Kyle Kisthardt of Gilbert, AZ; Jeffrey, Nicholas, Beckett, Brynn and Lincoln of Gilbert, AZ, Madison, Caden and Grayson Kvist and Henry Sellers of Chandler, AZ. Addition survivors include her brother, Russell Schoenberger and his wife Jean of Emporia, KS, a sister-in-law, Betty Hazlett of San Antonio, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy’s main interests were reading, sewing, knitting, bridge and travel as well as life-long volunteering in the interest of women and children.
