Dorothy Mae (Hollis) Beem, 93, of Mendota, formerly of Aurora, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Mendota Lutheran Home. Mrs. Beem was born January 4, 1925 in Aurora to Elmer and Martha (Wicke) Hollis. She married John Beem in 1955 in Aurora.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Henry) Gonzalez of Millington and Debbie Beem of Peru; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; one sister, Marie (Chester) Johnson of North Aurora and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her son, Richard Miller and four brothers, Ed, Al, Elmer and Jack Hollis.
