Dorothy M. Van Lue, 80, of Chicago Trail Village in New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 6:20pm Saturday, November 26, 2005 in Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle.
She was born on April 15, 1925 to the late Floyd and Mamie (OBrien) Roberts in Salida, CO, and has lived most of her life in New Carlisle. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Bob Roberts.
Mrs. Van Lue worked at the former Merls IGA Grocery Store in New Carlisle, IN.
On March 31, 1945, as Dorothy M. Roberts, she married Raymond H. Mike Van Lue. He survives.
Along with her husband, of 60 years; she is survived by one daughter, Bonnie (husband David) Kiester of Aloha, Oregon; one son, Raymond K. Mike (wife Kathy) Van Lue of New Carlisle, IN; and five grandchildren, James, Jeff, and Ed Kiester; and Erin and Kara Van Lue.
Dorothy was an active member of the Knit-Wits; and a former member of Hamilton Church, both in New Carlisle. She enjoyed cooking, playing games with her grandchildren, and was very devoted to her family.
