Dorothy M. “Maxine” Sisler, 88, of Freeport, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center. Born April 23, 1918 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa she was the daughter of Albin and Hilma (Nelson) Swenson.
She married Glenn C. Sisler Jr. on April 4, 1942 and he died April 16, 1992. She attended Brown’s Business College. Maxine was a teller at State Bank of Freeport for many years.
She was a member of Embury United Methodist Church. Surviving is her son, Mark Sisler of Freeport; two daughters, Janice Nickel and Candice Kehl both of Freeport; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Alice Yahnke; and two brothers.
