Dorothy Bowen was born July 22, 1931 in Cut Bank, Montana to Virgil and Rosetta Scurlock. Following graduation from Cut Bank High School she attended Northwest Nazarene College majoring in Business Administration where she earned a Secretarial Science Degree. Dorothy had a long career as a business woman. After 10 years in private industry, she spent 30 years in the employment of the federal government.
Dorothy married Dick King in 1995. Following Dick’s death she married Cal Bowen. Both husbands predeceased her. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sisters Doris Burdette and Marjorie. She is survived by three nieces: Barbara King of Palm Springs, California; Sherri Olmsted of Canon Beach, Oregon, and Beth (Larry) Olmsted of Nampa. She is also survived by special friends Darrel and Elizabeth Reisch of Nampa, Gloria Ernst of Touchmark and Joyce Wheeler of Great Falls, Montana.
