Dorothy M. Alexander, 91, Indianapolis passed away March 2, 2013. She was born July 27, 1921 in Indianapolis to the late Clarence Lisby and Bessie Jones Weeks. Dorothy married Edward Alexander on December 25, 1937 in Greenfield and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1987. She attended Arsenal Technical High School. During her young adult life, she worked at Naval Ordinace and at Schweitzer-Cummings. Mrs. Alexander loved her family, always laughing, and never forgot a birthday. During her younger days, she loved roller skating at Roller Land in downtown Indianapolis. She also followed her race-car owner husband to midget and sprint car race tracks in Ohio, Tennessee and Indiana during the 1940’s and 1950’s. She was a member of Keystone Chapter No. 240 Order of Eastern Star for 50 plus years.
