Dorothy “Lynn” Rudnik was born on November 4, 1947, in Denver, Colorado to Emmett Martin and Vivian (Shirley) Taylor. She left us on November 19, 2021, surrounded by her family, Mark (Jen), Kevin (Sarah), David, Jeff (Karen), and Jason (Shalena) Rudnik. She loved being Mamu to her adored grandchildren, Elijah, Joshua, Joey, Robert (Kimmie), Lillie, Brendon, William James (BJ), Alexica, Anastasia, Brittney, James, Donovan, and Delainey Rudnik, as well as great-grandson, Mason.
Clark and Lynn were married on July 10, 1966, in Cañon City, Colorado. They had five boys together and loved each other very much. Lynn was an amazing mom, raising five boys while Dad worked. When her boys were grown, she helped raise her grandkids as well. Lynn enjoyed and was so good at, cooking and crocheting baby and doll clothes. She loved playing dominoes, dice games, and canasta for hours with her mother. Lynn relaxed watching old westerns, Hallmark movies, mysteries, and was a voracious reader. Her favorite times were any of those surrounded by her family. She delighted in being a home away from home for any neighbor who needed solace or friends the boys brought home, many of whom call her ‘Mom’ to this day! She set an example of how to love unconditionally and boundlessly.
She is survived by her sons and their families; siblings, James “Jimmy” (Irene) Martin, William “Bill” (Cindy) Martin, Marion (Bryan) Maciel, Patty (Tim) Boone, John (Peggy) Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and “adopted” kids and grandkids, whom she loved as her own.
Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, Vivian (Shirley) and beloved step-father James Taylor, and father, Emmett and beloved step-mother Jean Martin; parents-in-law, Merle and Myrtle Rudnik; sister-in-law, Merlene Clifford; brothers, Kenneth “Kenny” Martin and Gerry Martin; as well as her true love, husband, Clark Rudnik.
