Dorothy Lee Lindemann, 91, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born November 9, 1918, near Arenzville, the daughter of Hezz and Cordelia Boatman Long. She married Earl Lindemann on Sept. 12, 1938, in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2001.

She is survived by a son, Edward “Butch” (wife, Joann) Lindemann of Jacksonville; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Joe Long; and one sister, Gladys Thompson.

Mrs. Lindemann was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Lindemann Electric, and ran the concession stand at Lake Jacksonville with her good friend Lila Longstaff for over 10 years. She also volunteered her time assisting with the Bread of Love meals at Beecher High Rise.
