Mrs. Dorothy Ledwell Chestnut “Dot” transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at her residence.
Dot really enjoyed Swimming and Walking. She loved to cook and bake and in fact one of her recipes were featured in High Point Enterprises Hometown Christmas insert 2012. She loved traveling to conventions and family reunions. She was a Life member of NAACP and worked with the Guilford County Board of Elections.
In addition to her parents, seven brothers and sisters have preceded her in death.
Loving Family members to cherish her memory are Husband, James Chestnut of the home; two daughters, Edwina Chestnut-Louis (Benito) of Roselle Park, NJ; Yolanda Chestnut-Ruffin (Joseph) of Plainfield NJ; three grandsons of whom she loved dearly: Isaiah, Benoit, and Aaron Chestnut-Louis; two brothers, Clyde Ledwell of Greensboro, NC, Charles Ledwell of Asheboro, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
