Dorothy Landon Vassar, age 99, of 52 Missionary Road, Cromwell, CT, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Dorothy was born on May 24, 1917 in Bristol, Vermont to the late Henry and Lois (Hill) Landon. She also had one brother, Leland, who predeceased her. She graduated from Bristol High School and attended Bay Path Institute in Springfield, MA. On December 28, 1940, Dorothy married William (Bill) F. Vassar who survives her. He was a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army and for the next 25 years, they traveled extensively. Upon retiring from the army, they lived for 35 years in Brunswick, ME.
