Dorothy L. Burks, 88, of Indianapolis passed away on April 24, 2018. She was born on June 28, 1929 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Royal and Allie Witty. Dorothy married Larry N. Burks on August 6, 1947. She was employed for JCPenney as a jewelry merchandiser for 32 years, before retiring in 1995. Dorothy was a homemaker and seamstress, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, crafting and gardening.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Kimberly Burks (James David) and granddaughter Allyson Blair Dawson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in passing by her husband Larry; infant son Larry Joe Burks; and brother James Witty.
