On February 28, 2019. Dorothy K. Johnson (nee Witter), “Dot,” passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was 98.
Born in Baltimore to Preston J. and Katherine (nee Horstmann) Witter she would live in the Glen Burnie area since the age of 8.
Dot spent her life dedicated to her family and making a home for her husband of 69 years the late Tell Claude Johnson and her dear daughter Barbara Tourville and two loving late sons Howard and Claude Johnson.
She was a member of the Pasadena Assembly of God where she taught Sunday school and volunteered at Glen Burnie High School and the Department of Aging as well. Dot enjoyed crochet and word puzzles but was most fond of being a homemaker.
Dorothy’s legacy continues with her loving grandchildren Gina Betz and Lisa Potts as well as her great- grandchildren Tiffany and Joey Betz and James Elliott and 4 loving great-great grandchildren. Dot is survived by one brother Fred Witter and is preceded in death by two siblings, Elizabeth Shedlock and Mary Bradford.
