Dorothy June “Betty” McDaniel Wright, age 80 of Grafton, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010. She was born in Barbour County, WV. August 30, 1930 to the late Shirley Richard McDaniel and Gracie E. (Williams) McDaniel. Dorothy was a member of the DAV Ladies Auxiliary, an avid bingo player. She loved being with her children and grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward James Wright in 1986; two sons, James Paul Wright in 2005, and Vernal William “Bill” Wright in 2009; two brothers, Richard McDaniel, Paul McDaniel; two sisters, Rosalie McDaniel, and Mary Virginia Clark. Dorothy is survived by her children: Gary Edward Wright of Florida, Carle “Vaughn” Wright and companion Janet Wringler, of Grafton, Judith Kay Peters and husband Gary, of Grafton, Vicki Teresa Duckworth and husband Bob, of Grafton; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Willa Brown and Ruth Green, both of MD, Leona Flint and husband Rick, of Clarksburg; and many nieces and nephews.
