Dorothy Jean Jimenez, formerly of Keansburg, NJ, passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 14, 2021. Dorothy, fondly known as “Dotty”, was born on July 8, 1960 in Manhattan, New York. She was raised in Keansburg, New Jersey, where she lived for most of her life surrounded by many loving family members. Dotty also spent part of her childhood growing up in Long Island, New York, with her beloved grandparents.
Dotty was humble and compassionate and had a soft spot in her heart for those in need. For many years she volunteered regularly at her local soup kitchen, serving the homeless.
Dotty’s pride and joy were her grandchildren and she loved them dearly. Her gift to them was her cooking.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter Paul and Dorothy Jean (Hernandez) Jimenez, and her siblings, Andrew Jimenez, Peter Charles Jimenez, and Kathleen Ann Lowe. Dotty is survived by her loving daughter, Dana (Jimenez) Hutchins and her husband William, her dear siblings, Patricia Martin, Kathaleen Pagano, Joseph Jimenez, Mary Jimenez, and Genine Loew Vizzone, and her cherished grandchildren, Kayla Hutchins-Porpora and her husband Christopher, William Hutchins Jr. and Benjamin Hutchins, along with many treasured nieces, nephews and cousins.
